WG1 Meeting in Athens to Advance Sigma-1 Receptor Research

The 2nd WG1 meeting of the SIGMA-1 EUROPE COST Action took place at the History Museum of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, kindly hosted by Ioannis P. Trougakos and Konstantinos Palikaras.

WG1 members gathered to review the progress achieved during the first year of the Action and to discuss recent advances in sigma-1 receptor research. Following opening remarks by Action Chair Tangui Maurice and WG1 Leader Carmen Abate, presentations highlighted developments across medicinal chemistry, modelling, radiotracer design, and biological research.

The meeting fostered open and productive discussions, including with online participants, and generated new ideas for future activities and collaborations supporting the goals of the Action.
