The 1st Sigma-1 Europe Training School brought together 29 early-career researchers from across Europe for four days of intensive training, scientific exchange, and practical learning.
The programme covered key aspects of Sigma-1 receptor research, including computational techniques, sustainable synthetic approaches, drug developability assessment, and methods for evaluating drug affinity and activity. Hands-on sessions gave participants the opportunity to explore these approaches in practice and to exchange ideas with experts and peers.
Beyond its educational dimension, the Training School also created space for collaboration and networking among young scientists, contributing to the development of a research community in this field.
