The 3rd Drug Discovery Conference will take place on 24-25 September 2026 in Riga, Latvia, bringing together leading researchers from academia and industry to discuss the latest advances in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, biologics, nanomedicine, and translational drug discovery. Organized by the National Institute of Research and Innovation (NIRI) and EU-OPENSCREEN, the conference serves as an international platform for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
We are pleased to see a strong representation of the SIGMA-1 EUROPE COST Action at this year’s meeting. Prof. Liga Zvejniece, Vice Chair of SIGMA-1EUROPE, is a member of the Organizing Committee and will chair the CNS Pharmacology session, highlighting the active involvement of our network in shaping the scientific programme of the conference.
The CNS Pharmacology session will also feature presentations by Prof. Tangui Maurice (CNRS, INSERM) and Prof. Karolina Pytka (Jagiellonian University Medical College), both members of the SIGMA-1 EUROPE network. Their participation reflects the scientific excellence of our community and its growing contribution to international research on CNS pharmacology and innovative therapeutic strategies.
Beyond the scientific programme, the conference provides an excellent opportunity for members of the SIGMA-1EUROPE network to strengthen existing collaborations, establish new partnerships, and exchange ideas with researchers working across diverse areas of drug discovery.
More information about the conference and the scientific programme is available on the official Drug Discovery Conference website.
